EXCLUSIVE: Campfire Studios, the company behind Netflix’s America’s Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders, is making promotions.
The Wheelhouse-backed company, which is run by Ross Dinerstein, has named COO Ross Girard as partner and promoted development executive Allyson Holloway to VP, Creative.
The moves come after it received a season four renewal for America’s Sweethearts and its sports doc Untold: The Testimony of Vince Young just launched.
Campfire Studios is also behind Netflix’s Unknown Number: The High School Catfish and The Menendez Brothers and the streamer’s upcoming Judd Apatow-directed Norm: The Tale of Norm MacDonald.
Girard joined Campfire in 2017 and served as EVP, production before becoming COO in 2022. He has worked on docs including HBO Max’s Low Country: The Murdaugh Dynasty, The Way Down: God, Greed and the Cult of Gwen Shamblin, Heaven’s Gate: The Cult of Cults and Smartless: On the Road and won Emmys (at the News and Documentary Emmy Awards) for his work on Netflix’s Poisoned: The Dirty Truth About Your Food and Hulu’s WeWork: Or the Making and Breaking of a $47 Billion Unicorn.
Holloway joined Campfire in 2023, having previously worked at Disney and FX Networks. She worked on Untold: The Testimony of Vince Young, Amazon’s The Money Game: LSU and NBC’s Dream Big: The Michelle Wie Story.
