EXCLUSIVE: Molly Griggs (The Residence), Matthew Noszka (All’s Fair) and Tommy Martinez (Good Trouble, Laid) have been set as the core trio leading Prime Video‘s Things We Never Got Over, the TV adaptation of Lucy Score’s bestselling novel of the same name. Production is currently underway.

Griggs will pull double duty, playing twin sisters Naomi Witt and Tina Witt.

From Eric Charmelo and Nicole Snyder, Things We Never Got Over follows runaway bride Naomi Witt (Griggs), who arrives in the quirky town of Knockemout, Virginia; she expects to rescue her estranged twin (Griggs) and return to the life she left behind. Instead, her sister disappears, leaving Naomi with a niece she never knew existed, a town full of irresistible characters — including charming local sheriff Nash Morgan (Martinez) and his decidedly grumpy but infuriatingly sexy brother Knox Morgan (Noszka) — and a future she never imagined.

Score is a No. 1 New York Times bestselling author of contemporary romance who has sold more than 15 million books worldwide in 35 languages. The first book in Score’s Knockemout trilogy, Things We Never Got Over, spent 32 consecutive weeks on the New York Times bestsellers list, with sequels completing the trilogy in 2023. 

Charmelo and Snyder wrote the pilot for the upcoming series adaptation and will serve as co-showrunners and executive producers. Gina Girolamo will executive produce through her production company, Strega Stories. Book author Lucy Score will serve as co-executive producer. The series is produced by Amazon MGM Studios.

Griggs starred as Lilly Schumacher in Shondaland’s The Residence for Netflix. She’s recurred in TV shows Dr. Death, Succession, Servant and Prodigal Son. Additional TV/Film credits include Law & Order: SVU, Bull, Instinct, Magnum P.I., New Amsterdam, FBI: Most Wanted, The Good Doctor, and the independent feature Before I Go. Up next, she will appear in CBS’s CIA. Griggs is repped by Paradigm and Perennial Entertainment.

Noszka is an actor and model who most recently starred in Ryan Murphy’s Hulu legal drama All’s Fair. His previous acting credits include No Hard Feelings opposite Jennifer Lawrence, Fox’s Star, Netflix’s Let It Snow, Amazon’s Perfect Addiction and Marked Men. Noszka is repped by Gersh and Luber Roklin Entertainment.

Martinez recently starred in Steven Spielberg’s Disclosure Day and starred opposite Kiefer Sutherland in the feature Brothers in Arms. On the TV front, he recently starred in the Peacock series Laid. Martinez first garnered widespread attention for his portrayal of Gael Martinez on Freeform’s Good Trouble. His additional credits include the CW’s Riverdale, Prime Video’s Hunters, Apple TV’s The Mosquito Coast, and Prime Video’s Bosch. Martinez is repped by Artium Talent and Luber Roklin Entertainment.
