EXCLUSIVE: Hindi crime comedy Jeevan Bheema Yojana has moved its worldwide theatrical release date back a week to September 4.

The Arshad Warsi starrer was previously set for this Friday (August 28), but has now pushed back and locked the early September date.

This is due to a final leg of the film’s marketing campaign running in coming days and more time for publicity, according to reps for the Abhishek Dogra-directed pic. A new poster (below) has been released for the updated timing.

Starbeam Ventures (formerly Blue God Entertainment) produced the film. Anshu Mishra is the producer with Nitin Khanna, Afsana Kherani and Ramen Raheja the co-producers, and the screenplay comes from Mukta Bhatt, Vivek Verma and Dogra.

Jeevan Bheema Yojana Warsi in a duel lead role. He plays Jeevan, a debt-ridden common man whose life takes an unexpected turn when he crosses paths with his dangerous lookalike, Bheema. Per the synopsis, “What initially appears to be an opportunity soon spirals into a chaotic chain of events, drawing its characters into a web of lies, greed and increasingly risky choices.”

Sanjeeda Shaikh plays Jeevan’s sharp and resourceful wife, Yojana, with Vijay Raaz, Pooja Chopra, Bijendra Kala and the late Atul Parchure also starring.

“Jeevan Bheema Yojana is a film about ordinary people making one extraordinary, catastrophic decision and then spending the rest of the film paying for it,” said Dogra. “The genre is dark comedy, but the heart of it is very human. Arshad brings both men to life with a precision that constantly surprised us on set.”
