Brittany Mahomes will always be Patrick Mahomes’ biggest cheerleader.
Months after the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback tore both the ACL and LCL in his left leg during an NFL game last December, his wife shared her excitement at seeing him back on the field.
“Seeing him back doing what he loves,” Brittany wrote on Instagram Stories July 25 alongside a reshared video of Patrick heading to training camp. “So thankful.”
Patrick sustained the season-ending injury last December in a tense face-off against the Los Angeles Chargers, benching him for the remainder of the Chiefs’ rocky 2025-2026 run.
But just last month, the 30-year-old proved he’d be back and better than ever for the upcoming football season as he signed a two-year contract extension with the NFL team valued at over $500 million, per his agency.
"The magic continues," Equity Sports announced in a June 10 X post. "Congratulations @PatrickMahomes on signing the largest contract in NFL history... yet again. $504.75M. Historic. Game-changing. Record breaker."
After news broke of the historic deal, Patrick—who has played on the Chiefs throughout his entire NFL career—shared he couldn’t be happier to be returning to the team he calls home.
"CHIEFS KINGDOM!!!! We are here to stay!" he captioned a June 10 Instagram post featuring a photo of himself, Brittany and their kids Sterling, 5, Bronze, 3, and Golden, 19 months, posing at his contract extension signing. "Love this place and the people that are apart of it."
"Thank you all for being there for me and my family everyday!” he added. “We ain’t done yet tho!"
And through the highs and lows of his career, Brittany, also 30, has proved she’ll always be her husband’s most loyal teammate.
“Growing with you, learning with you, inspiring with you, making babies with you, building this amazing life we have with you. All of it has been the best years of my life!” she wrote on Instagram Stories March 12 in honor of their fourth wedding anniversary. “I love you @patrickmahomes forever & ever. Here’s to many more years and memories.”
