Slipknot fans have hit out at the band’s decision to recruit Marilyn Manson as support for dates on their newly announced 2027 ‘(sic)est Stadium Tour’.

The masked metal band announced the huge run yesterday (September 28), with their only UK and European show set to take place at London’s Wembley Stadium on July 3, 2027.

Manson will appear alongside Lorna Shore and Hatebreed as support at Wembley, before he and Hatebreed rejoin Slipknot for dates in South America in September.

The decision has been met with criticism from some fans in light of the numerous allegations of sexual and domestic abuse that have been made against Manson, real name Brian Warner, all of which he has denied.

Thousands of comments were left under an Instagram post announcing the Wembley line-up, with some long-time Slipknot followers saying Manson’s involvement would prevent them from buying tickets.

“Would’ve loved to see this but there’s literally nothing you could do to get my cash in Manson’s pockets,” one fan wrote.

Another described the booking as “such a disappointment” and said they would no longer attend, while others called the decision “disappointing”.

Not all of the response was negative, however. Some fans welcomed Manson’s inclusion, with one pointing to the “huge fanbase overlap” between the two acts and calling him a “perfect support act”.

Slipknot and Manson have toured together before, having announced a joint North American run in 2016, which also featured Of Mice & Men.

Warner’s former partner Evan Rachel Wood publicly named him as her alleged abuser in 2021, accusing him of grooming, manipulation and abuse during their relationship.

Warner denied her allegations and those made by other women, describing them as “horrible distortions of reality” and saying at the time that his intimate relationships had “always been entirely consensual”.

Wood later detailed her allegations in the 2022 documentary Phoenix Rising. Warner sued Wood and artist Illma Gore for defamation and other claims, but dropped the lawsuit in November 2024 and agreed to pay Wood nearly $327,000 (ÂŁ244,000) in legal fees.

In January 2025, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s office confirmed that Warner would not face criminal charges following a four-year investigation into allegations of sexual assault and domestic violence.

District Attorney Nathan Hochman said allegations of domestic violence fell outside the statute of limitations and that prosecutors could not “prove charges of sexual assault beyond a reasonable doubt”.

A separate civil case brought by Warner’s former assistant Ashley Walters, however, was revived in January this year under a new California law.

Walters first filed the lawsuit in 2021, alleging sexual assault, sexual battery, sexual harassment and other abuse during the period in which she worked for Warner in 2010 and 2011. The case had most recently been dismissed in December 2025 because of the statute of limitations, before California’s Assembly Bill 250 extended the window in which some adult sexual assault claims could be revived.

Warner has denied Walters’ allegations, as he has the other allegations made against him.

Game Of Thrones actor Esmé Bianco previously brought a separate lawsuit alleging sexual assault, physical abuse and human trafficking. Warner denied those allegations, and the pair reached an out-of-court settlement in 2023.

The controversy comes as Slipknot prepare for their biggest run of stadium concerts to date. After the Wembley opener, Corey Taylor and co. will head to North America, where Bring Me The Horizon will serve as direct support throughout the leg. The tour then concludes with shows in Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Peru and Colombia in September 2027. Find tickets here.

The tour follows Slipknot’s return earlier this month with ‘Arsenal’, their first new song in three years and first since the departure of Sid Wilson and arrival of drummer Eloy Casagrande.

Guitarist Jim Root later confirmed that ‘Arsenal’ will not appear on the band’s forthcoming album, describing it as a track they could finish quickly while work continued on the record.

The new album will be Slipknot’s first since 2022’s ‘The End, So Far’.
