EXCLUSIVE: Bailee Madison and Deon Cole are set to join the ensemble cast of the upcoming Netflix comedy Grown Ups 3 starring Adam Sandler. In addition to Sandler, David Spade, Rob Schneider, Chris Rock, and Kevin James are set to return for the threequel.
Netflix announced at its upfronts this past May that the third film would be moving forward with Kyle Newacheck directing. Newacheck had previously worked oon Sandler projects including Happy Gilmore 2 — one of the biggest streaming titles of last year, which set a Nielsen record with 2.89B minuted viewed in its first week.
Script is by Adam Sandler & Tim Herlihy. Adam Sandler, Jackie Sandler, Jack Giarraputo, and Tim Herlihy will produce, with Kevin Grady and Judit Maull exec producing.
Starring Sandler and frequent collaborators out of his Happy Madison universe, the Grown Ups franchise revolves around a set of childhood friends who are brought back together as adults over the course of a summer vacation.
Plot details for the third film are unknown at this time.
Madison is no stranger to working on Sandler projects most recently appearing opposite his daughter, Sadie Sandler, in the Netflix comedy Roommates. She was also recently seen in the Pretty Little Liars spin-off Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin.
Cole is best known for his Netflix stand up specials Ok, Mister, Charleen’s Boy and Cole Hearted.
His acting star has been on the rise since landing the title role in the BET+ series Average Joe. He was most recently seen in The Madness opposite Colman Domingo. He also appeared as Don King in the box-office hit Michael.
Cole is repped by WME and Ames Hashagen Entertainment and Madison is repped by UTA and TFC Management.
