The Last House on Netflix follows the Delgado Family, who are locked inside their house as years of rain flood the Earth.
The film is now streaming on Netflix, and fans have thoughts on the movie’s ending.
How does The Last House end?
We learn that some mysterious creatures from the ocean are actually responsible. At the end of the movie, Jason Delgado (Wagner Moura) traps one of the undersea specimens in his home and has the chance to kill it. He decides to show mercy and let it go.
His family, including wife Ann (Greta Lee) and their two kids, are then set free by the creatures, and they are finally able to leave their house.
However, the world is a much different place after the years of rain.
What happens to the Delgado Family after the events of The Last House?
Wagner was asked in an interview what he thinks happens to the family after they are set free.
He told CinemaBlend, “Well, I hope they discover that of course, the world changed. But I hope that they discover that there are good things about that change. I think that we came out of COVID when, when COVID sort of happened in the end of the whole pandemic, I was like, ‘Okay, the world is gonna change. We are gonna come out of this with a different mindset.’ And I don’t think we did. So I hope it’s different for the characters of the film.”
