Glee‘s Becca Tobin and her husband Zach Martin have welcomed their second child together, and thankfully their baby is okay after arriving a few weeks earlier than scheduled.

The 40-year-old actress announced the news from the hospital while filming the Thursday (July 23) episode of her “The Lady Gang” podcast. During the ep, she told her co-hosts, Keltie Knight and Jac Vanek, that her surrogate had to be induced over the weekend because she had been diagnosed with preeclampsia.

On Sunday (July 19), they welcomed daughter Meyer June Martin into the world! She was supposed to be due in late August, so was several weeks early. One issue during the birth was her umbilical cord was wrapped around her, but thankfully, she was okay.

She also updated that Meyer is currently doing well, but will be in the neonatal intensive care unit – aka NICU – for a few weeks as a result of being born nearly 6 weeks early.

Becca also shared the inspiration behind their daughter’s sweet name.

“So we were like, we’re doing a family name. I knew that I wanted to use June as a middle name. That was my grandmother that I was incredibly close to. And then my grandmother’s dad, my great-grandfather, his name is Meyer, and it means bringer of light in Hebrew,” Becca recalled.

The couple are also parents to Rutherford “Ford” Thomas Martin, 4. Be sure to find out all of the Glee stars who are parents, including the four who most recently welcomed babies!

Congratulations!!!
