The Crave original series, which plays on HBO in the U.S., has added Kevin Zegers (The Madison, Transamerica) as Coach Wiebe, Paul Gross (Good Night and Good Luck on Broadway, Tales of the City) as Commissioner Roger Crowell and Milla Jovovich (Resident Evil, The Fifth Element) as Dr. Galina Molchalina for its upcoming season, which is due to premiere in Spring 2027.
They join the likes of leads Hudson Williams and Connor Storrie in the gay ice hockey drama about a pair of professional players who mask their secret love with a fierce rivalry on the ice.
Other cast for Season 2 includes Justice Smith, Charlie Gillespie, Daniel Diemer, Shaheen Jafargholi, Robert Naylor, Sophie Nélisse, Ksenia Daniela Kharlamova, Edvin Ryding, François Arnaud, Christina Chang, Dylan Walsh, Robbie G.K., Callan Potter, Benjamin Roy, Kamilla Kowal, Emily Hampshire, Sabrina Jalees, and Priyanka. We revealed several of the returning cast earlier this week.
Accent Aigu Entertainment produces the show in association with Bell Media-owned Crave. It is created by Jacob Tierney and based on Rachel Reid’s bestselling Game Changers books.
Crave ordered the show with the participation of the Canada Media Fund. Tierney is writer, director, and executive producer. Brendan Brady and Jayme Alter Wilson also serve as executive producers, with Lori Fischburg and Liane Cunje the producers. Book author Rachel Reid is consulting producer and Mike Goldbach serves as co-writer on Season 2.

Bell’s UK-based distribution business Sphere Abacus sells the show internationally, initially shopping it to the likes of HBO Max in U.S., Europe and Australia, and Sky in the UK.
