Korean studio CJ ENM has signed partnerships with TV Markíza in Slovakia and TV Nova in the Czech Republic, both owned by European media giant Central European Media Enterprises (CME), as part of an expansion of its K-Content distribution efforts in Central and Eastern Europe.
The deals cover a total of 10 scripted titles including major K-drama hits such as Signal, Encounter, Her Private Life, Hotel Del Luna and True Beauty. Other popular CJ ENM titles covered by the deal include The Witch’s Diner, Doom At Your Service, Twinkling Watermelon, Lovely Runner and Guardian: The Lonely And Great God.
The two deals greatly expand the range of Korean content available for viewers in Central and Eastern Europe. “CEE is a market where we see strong potential for further growth,” said Sebastian Kim, Head of Content Distribution Business at CJ ENM. “We will continue to strengthen our partnerships with local broadcasters and platforms, while expanding our content offerings and creating more opportunities for audiences to discover and enjoy K-content.”
CJ ENM has also signed a memorandum of understanding with the Korea Creative Content Agency (KOCCA) and the Korean Cultural Center in Poland with the aim of strengthening local collaboration. The MoU was signed during the 2026 Poland-Korea Brand Week, hosted by KOCCA, which also featured B2C activities for fans, including interactive booths for recent shows Lovely Runner and The Legend Of The Kitchen Soldier.
A special screening of The Legend Of The Kitchen Soldier was also held, followed by a panel with Kim Tae-hoon, CJ ENM Chief Producer, who talked fans through the story behind the series and its production.
