Noel Clarke is facing serious charges.
The 50-year-old British actor and filmmaker, known for playing Mickey Smith in Doctor Who, was charged with multiple sexual offenses following an investigation by London’s Metropolitan Police. The Crown Prosecution Service authorized the charges after reviewing a file of evidence from police.
The charges are related to alleged incidents that took place between 2007 and 2016 involving five women, according to Deadline on Wednesday (September 9). He was arrested on September 25, 2025.
What Charges Is Noel Clarke Facing?
Noel is facing six charges: two counts of sexual assault, three counts of voyeurism and one count of exposure.
When Will Noel Clarke Appear in Court?
He is due to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on October 21. The charges are allegations, and Noel has not been convicted of any of the offenses.
The charges come after Noel lost his libel lawsuit against The Guardian in 2025 over the outlet’s reporting on allegations of sexual misconduct made by more than 20 women. The High Court dismissed his claim, finding that The Guardian had established its truth and public-interest defenses.
Noel denied the allegations at the time of the original reporting, while also acknowledging that some of his actions had unintended consequences, and vowed to seek “professional help.”
Noel was suspended by BAFTA in light of the accusations and his British police drama, Bulletproof, was taken off streaming services.
