EXCLUSIVE: Michael Pomeroy has wrapped psychological drama Paul & Greg & Amelia starring Quinn Jackson (Extrapolations), Christopher Ryan (American Horror Story), Matt Hardy (The Rest Of Your Life), and Terra Layne (Black Box).
It is the second feature for New York City-based director Pomeroy afterThe Rest of Your Life (2022), in which he starred as a disenchanted recent college graduate whose work and love life are not going as planned, opposite Hardy as a slacker co-worker who becomes an unexpected beacon.
The new film takes its cue from a once-promising novelist crippled by writer’s block who reconnects with his estranged college roommate, now a wealthy tech entrepreneur, in hopes of finding inspiration for his next book. What begins as a series of interviews quickly spirals into a dangerous psychological reckoning when a decades-old secret involving the entrepreneur’s wife comes to light, placing all three lives in jeopardy.
The film is produced by Jack Mulcahy (The Brothers McMullen), Lucien Formichella (Hai Davai), Cal Green (Raw Cuts), Todd Slater of Convoke Media (The Optimist, Bella), and Pomeroy. Executive producers are James R. Whaley and Brandon Svac.
The original score is composed by Michael Abiuso and Christopher Bordeaux, the Emmy-recognized composing duo whose credits include Obvious Child, Landline, and numerous acclaimed television and independent film projects. Additional music is provided by EDM artist Delacour.
Slater’s New York-based indie stalwart Convoke Media is gearing up for a Toronto sales launch for the film.
