Kelly Clarkson‘s show is coming to an end today (Monday, August 31).

The 44-year-old American Idol alum confirmed earlier this year that her award-winning The Kelly Clarkson Show would end after seven seasons.

Here’s the description of the final episode: “Clarkson performs a lineup of fan-favorite Kellyoke songs before being joined by her children, River and Remy, to say goodbye.” Get more details on the last show!

Fans might be wondering what she’ll be up to once the show wraps for good.

Why Is The Kelly Clarkson Show Ending?

Kelly issued a statement in February, via Variety:

“I have been extremely fortunate to work with such an outstanding group of people at The Kelly Clarkson Show, both in Los Angeles and New York. There have been so many amazing moments and shows over these seven seasons. I am forever grateful and honored to have worked alongside the greatest band and crew you could hope for, all the talent and inspiring people who have shared their time and lives with us, all the fans who have supported our show and to NBC for always being such a supportive and incredible partner. Because of all of that, this was not an easy decision, but this season will be my last hosting The Kelly Clarkson Show.

Stepping away from the daily schedule will allow me to prioritize my kids, which feels necessary and right for this next chapter of our lives. This isn’t goodbye. I’ll still be making music, playing shows here and there and you may catch me on The Voice from time to time … you never know where I might show up next. But for now, I want to thank y’all so much for allowing our show to be a part of your lives, and for believing in us and hanging with us for seven incredible years.”

Kelly has appeared onThe Voice several times over the years: she appeared as a part-time advisor for Seasons 2 and 13, then became a coach from Seasons 14 through 21, returned for Season 23 and the Spring 2026 season. She’s back for this fall, too!

Season 30 of The Voice premieres on Monday, September 21 on NBC.

“I wouldn’t have stopped doing the show had I not moved across the country and been a single mom of two,” she previously said of stepping away from The Voice.

Will Kelly Clarkson Perform More Concerts?

Kelly just completed her Studio Sessions concert residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, which ran through August 15. She doesn’t have any new dates listed on her official website for right now, but stay tuned!
