Indeed, the “WAP” rapper shared an exciting update about her family, introducing the world to her dog Tyger who was scheduled to be euthanized at the shelter before she adopted him.

“I’ve rescued a dog,” Megan announced in a March 27 Instagram video. “Because I was yesterday years old when I found out that there’s a such thing as a kill shelter, and they are putting down dogs when they can not find them a home.”

For Megan—who is currently starring as Zidler in Broadway’s Moulin Rouge! The Musical—learning about kill shelters inspired her to bring the sweet new fur baby home.

“That is insane, they were going to put him down yesterday,” she exclaimed. “And I said ‘No wait. Just give him to me. I’ll take him.’”

While Megan is excited for her new pup’s arrival, she’s not so sure how her French Bulldog 4oe (a.k.a. Foe) and other pets are going to take to their new brother.

“I don’t know how Foe is going to feel about this,” Megan explained. “I don’t know how Foe kids is going to feel about this.”

But if the way Tyger comes and cuddles into her neck in the clip is any indication, he’ll fit in just fine. Plus, there was no question for Megan that she wouldn’t be leaving the shelter with the new four-legged addition, emphasizing she felt like she “had to save him."

“Aww, my new son,” she added in the clip, giving her new pup a sweet kiss. "He’s so happy.”

Feeling optimistic about her decision to bring home Tyger—who will join Foe, his three puppies, and her Maine Coon cat named Nine—she added, “So yeah, we’re gonna see how Tyger does tonight. I don’t know what kind of dog this is but he my son.”

Tyger’s arrival comes a few weeks after Megan put her love on display for her first fur baby in honor of his birthday.
