VuHaus Group has announced the addition of its newest affiliate, KCSN âThe SoCal Soundâ in Los Angeles. The SoCal Soundâs local page now appears on the NPR Live Sessions website with its unique, local, and engaging music video content.
The SoCal Sound joins the most influential public media outlets with a shared mission to support emerging and local artists. Formed in 2014, VuHaus Group is public mediaâs only national content and sales network for music stations.
âWeâre extremely proud and excited to be a part of such a respected organization,â said Patrick Osburn, The SoCal Soundâs General Manager. âWe have a lot of top-notch video content to add to VuHaus Groupâs already impressive roster and are thrilled to be joining their network of highly respected public media outlets.â
One major goal of The SoCal Sound is to introduce emerging and established artists to new audiences. By providing a national platform for local station content, it offers a window into regional music scenes.
âJoining VuHaus is an exciting milestone for The SoCal Sound,â said Program Director Marc âMookieâ Kacsor. âIt means our video content will reach a much broader audience through public radioâs premier music video platform. Weâre proud to add Southern Californiaâs voice and sound to this collaborative network.â
The SoCal Sound is a member-supported public radio station broadcasting from the campus of California State University, Northridge, serving Los Angeles and Orange County. The SoCal Sound is funded primarily by individual donors, underwriting sponsors, and California State University, Northridge, meaning the station relies on the public to keep its community service thriving for Southern California.
VuHaus Group creates transformative partnerships to connect public radioâs music discovery stations with artists and audiences across the country. In addition to curating station-produced live performance videos for NPR Music Live Sessions, affiliate services include sponsorships, collaborative editorial, and community projects.
Its public radio stations include WFUV New York City, WXPN Philadelphia, WRTI Philadelphia, KXT Dallas/Ft. Worth, KALW San Francisco, Classical KING Seattle, WMOT Nashville, TMD Baltimore, KTBG The Bridge Kansas City, KUTX Austin, WNRN Virginia, KKSO Studio One Des Moines, and Mountain Stage in West Virginia.
