EXCLUSIVE: CAA has signed Sara Bareilles, the Grammy winning and Tony- and Emmy-nominated composer, performer, producer, activist and author.

Bareilles composed music and lyrics for the smash Broadway and West End musical Waitress, stepping into the lead role both in New York and London. As a recording artist and songwriter, she has sold more than three million albums and 15 million singles in the U.S., and her songs have been streamed more than 3.5 billion times worldwide.

Her other musical theater credits include her Tony Award-nominated performance as The Baker’s Wife in the acclaimed 2022 revival of Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine’s Into The Woods; a song on the Tony Award-nominated score for Spongebob Squarepants; and an Emmy Award-nominated appearance as Mary Magdalene in NBC’s Jesus Christ Superstar Live.

She is currently at work on a musical theater adaptation of Meg Wolitzer’s best-selling novel The Interestings, which will debut at Berkeley Repertory Theater in early 2027.

Bareilles played Dawn Solano on the Emmy Award-nominated musical comedy series Girls5eva, produced by Tina Fey (all three seasons streaming now on Netflix).

Previously, Bareilles executive-produced and wrote original music for the Apple musical drama series Little Voice, produced by J.J. Abrams. She has won two Grammy Awards (for the song “Saint Honesty”) and cast album Into The Woods), and has been nominated for three Tony Awards and three Primetime Emmy Awards.

She is managed by Izvor Zivkovic at Split Second and John Meneilly, Will Hubbard, and Marissa Lesch at Left / Right. Her attorneys are Michael Guido at Carroll Guido & Groffman and Nancy Rose at Schreck Rose Dapello Adams Berlin & Dunham.
