Even though hundreds of celebrities have appeared on Dancing With the Stars over the years, there aren’t that many Hallmark Channel actors who have competed on the show!

Hallmark icons Ashley Williams and Nikki DeLoach hosted their annual Dance Party to End ALZ over the weekend, so we had to asked all of the Hallmark stars in attendance if they’d ever be interested in appearing on the show.

We learned that Nikki actually auditioned to be on the current season, but didn’t get the job!

Nikki DeLoach

“I submitted an audition tape and they did not take me this year! My audition tape is phenomenal. It’s a trailer. I did a full production, edited together, trailer. What I have wanted to do is go on Dancing With the Stars and whatever I win, I am donating to the cause of the Dance Party to End ALZ and Mind What Matters Caregiver Relief Fund. If I won anything, I wanted to take that money and donate it and do it in honor my dad. So I sent a nice letter to Deena Katz, the casting director, but they were very, very interested in influencers and reality TV stars, which I am not either. I was so bummed… I put together the sickest audition reel. It was so good. I’m like, ‘How did they not cast me?’ Of all the things I’ve auditioned for, that one stung the most.”

Ashley Williams

“I would never audition for Dancing With the Stars. I’m not a great contestant in general. I was offered to go on the Weakest Link and I said to my husband, ‘They want me to do the Weakest Link.’ And he goes, ‘You can’t do that.’ And I said, ‘Why?’ And he goes, ‘Because you are the weakest link.’ And I was like, ‘You’re absolutely right.’ He’s like, ‘And it would be funny that night and the next day you’d get sad.’ Totally!”

Andrew Walker

“I think if I did Dancing With the Stars, I’m pretty good at direction and I’m relatively athletic, so I think I could compete, you know, if I had the right coach.”

B.J. Britt

Would he ever be up for doing DWTS? “What?! Of course… not. I cannot dance to save my life.”

Yan-Kay Crystal Lowe

“I would 100 million percent do a show like Dancing With the Stars. It would be my dream. My dance-skill level in my head, a 10. My dance-skill level in reality, a 7. Maybe a 6.5. But in my head, I’m really good… Yes, I’m going to put this in the universe now. One day, I will be on Dancing With the Stars and you’ll be like, caught it here!”

Sharon Lawrence

“I’m a Broadway baby. I’m a Broadway veteran, so my dance skills, if you asked me when I was 40 when I played Velma in Chicago, I’d say 10. And I worked for 20 years to be able to dance like that. Maybe 30 if you count my teenage training. Now, I’m a solid 7. Dancing With the Stars, is a tricky thing if you’ve been a professional dancer because you know how hard and fast they work and you know the challenge that that presents. And at this stage of life, I could do it like Florence Henderson did it… You’re a professional athlete when you’re a pro dancer, like I was, and I’m not anymore.”

Jonathan Bennett – Has Already Competed!

Since Jonathan has already been on Dancing With the Stars, we wanted to know who in the Hallmark Channel family he thinks should be on the show next!

“I did horrible on Dancing With the Stars. I think on Broadway, I’m a fantastic dancer. On Dancing With the Stars, I’m a horrible dancer. I went home third. Tommy Chong, who was like 70-something years old made it farther than I did, so if that tells you anything about my dancing, it’s that.”

Even though B.J. Britt says he’d never do the show, Jonathan thinks he would be the best.

B.J. doesn’t realize how good he is. He has to get out of his own way,” he said.

Meet the 16 contestants on DWTS this season!
