Maggie McGraw and James Rubin are engaged—ain’t that just like a dream?
Indeed, Tim McGraw and Faith Hill’s daughter and her partner of over two years are officially taking the next step in the relationship, her older sister Gracie McGraw confirmed.
“@jamesrubin170 proposed to our sister @maggiemaymcgraw in the greatest most Maggie way possible, filled with flowers and family,” Gracie wrote in an Aug. 30 Instagram post. “It’s an honor to have been a small part of the process of getting things set up and perfect for our Mags, I will never forget it.”
Gracie, 29, detailed that she, as well as her younger sister Audrey McGraw, 24, assisted in putting together the proposal, and expressed excitement in gaining “a new brother-in-law who loves my sister so fiercely and wholly that it makes everything all the more special.”
And Gracie emphasized that her sister is about to enter her best chapter yet.
“Thank you @jamesrubin170,” she added, “for making my sister the happiest lady in all the land.”
Maggie’s milestone comes just over two years after she first debuted her romance with her now-fiancé in 2024.
Alongside photos of the couple dressed up for a formal event in upstate New York, the 28-year-old cheekily wrote in the caption of a July 2024 post, “A moment for the dress (and the date).”
Meanwhile, Maggie’s country star father more recently shared insight into his daughter’s ultra-private world in honor of her birthday earlier this month.
“Happy 28th birthday to our amazing middle girl Maggie!!” Tim wrote in an Aug. 12 post on Instagram. “We are all so very proud of you. Your integrity, your work ethic and your devotion to your family are wonderful gifts that we get to enjoy and take pride in everyday.”
At the time, the Grammy winner teased that he had a feeling this would be an exciting year for his daughter.
“We love you so much!!” he added. “So much wonderful life ahead!!!”
