EXCLUSIVE: Emile Hirsch (Into the Wild) has joined the cast of sci-fi action thriller Final Invasion opposite Anthony Michael Hall (Reacher) Claire Forlani (Meet Joe Black) and Stephen Lang (Avatar) ahead of a New Mexico shoot later this year.
Final Invasion begins when a mysterious UAP satellite crashes in the New Mexico desert. It unleashes a rapidly mutating extraterrestrial organism that infects all life on earth, including humans, animals, and the planet’s ecosystems, triggering an extinction-level event.
A decorated Navy SEAL commander (Hall); famed rear admiral ( Lang); determined small-town police officer (Emile Hirsch) and brilliant CDC physician (Claire Forlani) must overcome military secrecy, political interference, and impossible odds to save humanity.
Directed by Josh Sternfeld (Fortress: Sniper’s Eye), Final Invasion is produced by Patricia A. Beninati (Hubble: 20 Years of Discovery) of Centerboro Productions; Todd Slater of Convoke Media (Bella), Marilyn G. Haft (Grace Is Gone), Ram Paul Silbey (Stranger in the Woods), and Kyle Behling (Dirty Little Secrets).
The screenplay is written by Beninati, with Michael K. Anderson and Jeff Knight, who both took credits on The Wonder Show.
The project reunites actor Hall with Slater following their collaboration on sci-fi drama Roswell Delirium. Hall also serves as executive producer. Slater recently worked with Lang onThe Optimist.

Production is scheduled to begin in New Mexico later this year, with additional casting announcements expected in the coming weeks.
Convoke Media will introduce the project to buyers and strategic partners during the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF).
