Jason Kelce couldn't fight the alchemy on this big day.
The former Philadelphia Eagles center finally spilled the beans—albeit still very few—on his experience inside Madison Square Garden for his brother Travis Kelce’s July 3 wedding to Taylor Swift, during which Jason acted as Travis' Best Man while Austin Swift served as Taylor's Man of Honor.
While greeting fans at the annual celebrity golf tournament, the American Century Championship, in Nevada on July 9, Jason affirmed to enquiring minds that the wedding was a “good time,” telling another fan it was “great.”
And after one fan yelled out asking whether Jason had 15 beers during the festivities, he said with a laugh, “Way more."
Since the start of Travis and Taylor’s love story, Jason and his wife Kylie Kelce—who are parents to daughters Wyatt, 6, Elliotte, 5, Bennett, 3 and Finnley, 15 months—have been two of the couple’s biggest cheer captains.
“I’m just very excited, very excited for my brother,” Jason raved to a group of reporters ahead of the wedding in June, “obviously a big moment for him.”
The 38-year-old added, “I’m very happy for both of them. I’m looking forward to celebrating with them.”
But that was all the New Heights podcast host dared to divulge (in order to avoid seeing the secrets end up splashed on the news front page), adding that any additional details about the charming wedding was “not our information to share.”
What is his to share? How much the former NFL star loves seeing Travis blossom alongside Taylor. In fact, he nodded to his appreciation for the Grammy winner in his recent coffee table book No Dumb Questions while writing about his little brother.
“Everyone gets to see the guy we’ve seen all these years up close—the human exclamation point,” Jason wrote. “Taylor really nailed it with that description.”
And should Taylor and Travis ever need any advice as the new romantics in the family, Jason and Kylie, 34, certainly have it covered with their own secret to a successful marriage.
“Ky always says this and I agree with her: You keep dating each other,” Jason shared with E! News in April. “You keep going and doing things. You keep making time for each other.”
Of course, Jason admitted, “That becomes harder and harder the more your kids get in the situation, the more professional success you’re having.”
So the couple makes sure to prioritize each other and “keep doing new, fresh things.”
