“American Idol” has been renewed for Season 25.

Auditions for the singing competition series will kick off on Aug. 25 with the virtual nationwide search “Idol Across America,” taking place in all 50 states plus Washington, D.C. This first round of auditions will be with “American Idol” producers, who will then pass contestants on to the judge auditions.

Video auditions will be accepted for those who cannot attend their state’s specific date. Contestants must be 15 years of age by Feb. 15, 2027.

Hannah Harper was crowned the winner of Season 24 of “American Idol” in May. The season featured judges Luke Bryan, Lionel Richie and Carrie Underwood, as well as host Ryan Seacrest.
