Shaheen Jafargholi is sharing his first comments about joining the cast of Heated Rivalry!
The 29-year-old actor was recently announced to be cast as Fabian Salah, the romantic interest in Tough Guy,” the third book in the “Game Changers” series.
He will appear alongside Daniel Diemer, who is set to play his on-screen love interest, Ryan Price.
While attending the premiere of his other new series, WAR, in New York City this week, Shaheen dished on being cast in Heated Rivalry and what he’s looking forward to the most.
“I’m super, super honored,” he told Swooon at the WAR premiere of joining the hit Crave series adaptation of Rachel Reid‘s books.
When asked about what excites him the most about bringing Ryan and Fabian’s story to life, Shaheen said, “It’s not really one specific thing, but it’s more just the fact that the story is being told, period.”
“They’re both obviously super integral characters to the story and Shane and Ilya’s story,” he added. “So to get to kind of step into that world and be a part of it in any capacity is a dream.”
Heated Rivalry is currently filming in Toronto, and is expected to premiere in spring 2027.
In WAR, Shaheen will be playing Saeed Masood, a training associate at Taylor & Byrne, one of the law firms facing off in the divorce case central to the series’ story in the first season.
Here’s the synopsis: WAR is a high-stakes, legal drama following the lives of London’s most powerful lawyers as firms Cathcarts & Sons and Taylor & Byrne clash over a headline-grabbing legal battle, drawing ambitious young lawyer Jonathan “Johnny” Warren (Archie Renaux) into a ruthless world where ambition is currency, betrayal is strategy, and winning is everything. Season one follows the explosive divorce of British tech entrepreneur Morgan Henderson (Dominic West) and international film star Carla Duval (Sienna Miller), as Cathcarts & Sons and Taylor & Byrne stop at nothing to secure victory for their clients.
WAR is set to premiere on Thursday, October 1st at 9pm ET/PT on HBO and streaming on HBO Max in the US. It will then premiere on October 2nd on Sky and NOW in the UK.
