Sadie Soverall is destined to be a breakout star this summer and she already has a very high-profile movie lined up as her next project.
The 24-year-old actress, who stars as Percy in the new Prime Video series Every Year After, is in talks to star in Oscar-nominated director Brady Corbet‘s next movie.
Deadline reported on May 21, 2026 that Sadie is “being eyed for a lead role” in the film. While her deal hadn’t been signed yet when the report came out, she was designated as the “choice for her part.”
Corbet‘s upcoming movie is reported to be an “X-rated” movie with a 200-page script, which is double the length of standard movie scripts. He told THR, “The film spans from the 19th century into the present day — it’s just predominantly focused on the ’70s. The film is really, really genre-defying.”
The star-studded cast reportedly will also include Cate Blanchett, Michael Fassebender, and Selena Gomez.
The movie’s rumored title is The Origin of the World and Corbet shared some details during a recent appearance.
“My new film is a film that is sort of about American mysticism and the history of the occult in America and I’ve been reading tons and tons of material about the migration of the cultist belief systems and structures. I’ve started working with this fascinating guy called Mitch Horowitz, who is an occultist historian of America.”

To give you an idea of how massive a 200-page script is… Corbet‘s recent movie The Brutalist had a 165-page script and that movie had a runtime of 3 hours and 35 minutes.
Corbet earned three Oscar nominations for The Brutalist – Best Picture, Best Director, and Best Original Screenplay. He also directed the 2018 movie Vox Lux starring Natalie Portman.
