Cate Blanchett and her son Ignatius Upton step out for the Giorgio Armani Prive fashion show!
The 57-year-old actress and her 18-year-old son made a rare public appearance at the Paris Fashion Week Haute Couture Fall/Winter 2026-2027 runway presentation.
This marks the first public appearance of Ignatius in nearly ten years. He last stepped out with Cate at the 2018 Green Carpet Fashion Awards Italia, and before that, was seen on the red carpet with her at the Ocean’s 8 premiere in London.
If you’re unaware, Ignatius is Cate and her husband Andrew Upton‘s youngest son. They are also parents to sons Dashiel, 24, and Roman, 22, as well as adopted daughter Edith, 11.
Back in 2020, Cate explained the origin of Ignatius‘ name – it’s from Captain Underpants!
“I was eight months pregnant and hallucinating, and there’s a section in the book where he gets so upset that everyone teases him because his name is Professor Pee-Pee Poopypants that he forces the world to change their names,” she shared on Jimmy Kimmel Live, via People.
“They have this interior code, and they give these examples of names. You go down to ‘I’ and the example is Ignatius. It was like the Virgin Mary going ‘Boom!’” she added.

Also in attendance at the fashion show were Laura Harrier, Rosamund Pike and partner Robie Uniacke, and Cindy Bruna.

This marks Silvana‘s second collection as creative director, following the passing of her uncle, Giorgio Armani, last September.
