Heather Locklear and Lorenzo Lamas have been dating since earlier this year and it’s a long time coming for them as they’ve known each other for over 40 years.
The couple opened up about the “timing” of their relationship while heading into LAX Airport for a flight out of town on Friday (August 28) in Los Angeles.
Heather did most of the talking while being interviewed by TMZ as they made their way to the security checkpoint.

Heather was asked if she wishes they started dating earlier and she said no.
“No, this is the perfect timing,” Heather said. “We had to go through our life experiences. And we wouldn’t have had our children.”
Heather says that Lorenzo “was on my wall for 40 years” as she had their photo shoot hanging up.

Heather was married to Mötley Crüe drummer Tommy Lee from 1986 to 1993. From 1994 to 2007, she was married to Bon Jovi guitarist Richie Sambora and they had daughter Ava Sambora, who is now 28. She was also previously engaged to her Melrose Place co-star Jack Wagner and she was recently engaged to high school sweetheart Chris Heisser after they rekindled things later in life.
Lorenzo has been married six times and two children with his ex-wife Michele Smith, A.J. Lamas, 42, and Shayne Lamas, 40. He and ex-wife Shauna Sand share daughters Alexandra Lamas, 28, Victoria Lamas, 26, and Isabelle Lamas, 25. He also has another daughter, Paton Ashbrook, 37, from his relationship with Daphne Ashbrook.
