Dakota Johnson and Role Model are saying the longest goodbye.
The Fifty Shades of Grey alum and the "Sally, When the Wine Runs Out" singer broke up less than a year after sparking dating rumors, multiple outlets reported on Aug. 19.
E! News has reached out to reps for Johnson and Role Model (real name Tucker Pillsbury) for comment but hasn't heard back.
News of the split comes just weeks after Role Model, 29, raved about collaborating with Johnson, 36, on his latest album Chuck Timely & the Hourglass, in which she made a spoken-word cameo on the track "Love I You."
"I had a lot of names to pick from that," the musician shared in a Nylon interview published Aug. 4 admitted, explaining how producer Mason Stoops played a role in making it happen. "Dakota came to the studio one day and Mason was like, ‘Why don’t you do it?'"
Though Role Model was initially hesitant—thinking, "Stop! We’re not mixing work and relationships"—he eased up on the idea once he saw the Materialist actress jump on board.
"She was like, ‘I’ll do it,’ and stood right up and got in the booth and knocked it out better than we could have imagined," he remembered. "So I was like, OK, if she’s down—I mean, that’s an amazing cameo."
The impromptu collab resulted in a flirty exchange during the bridge of the song.
"Hey, I think you’re perfect," Role Model sang, to which Johnson quipped back, "You say that to everyone."
When he asked if his the compliment was "working," the Madame Web star coyly teased, "Yeah, but don't tell anyone."
And, indeed, Role Model and Johnson—who previously dated Coldplay frontman Chris Martin for seven years—haven't been too public about their romance. Apart from confirming her cameo, the "Longest Goodbye" artist has largely kept details about their relationship close to the chest.
“Keeping things about music is what I’ve learned,” he added to Nylon. “Otherwise, the internet just has a field day.”
