Obsession’s Inde Navarrette has revealed she’s set to star in an unknown video game project.
Navarrette is the breakout star of Obsession, a “monkey-paw” horror that sees her character Nikki become fixated on Michael Johnston’s Bear after his wish goes wrong. The movie has made over $400million worldwide from a $750,000 budget, with director Curry Barker already talking about turning his other YouTube shorts into feature films.
Shortly after Obsession hit cinema screens, fans discovered Navarrette’s old Twitch channel where she streamed Call Of Duty and The Last Of Us, with millions watching the reuploaded videos on YouTube.
In a new interview with Variety, Navarrette said her earliest video game memories were playing Call Of Duty and a Shrek party game on the PS2 before she eventually got into streaming. “I love playing video games by myself, I’m not getting any [acting] work, I know that other people do it and I grew up watching YouTube… so maybe I could do it. That’s what started the streaming process,” she explained. Despite building a decent following on Twitch, her streams would typically max out at 100 viewers though and she never considered becoming a full-time streamer. “Acting was always it for me.”
However Navarrette later deleted all her videos from Twitch. “I got scared. I was moving into a new chapter of my life. What if people saw that I [streamed] and now they don’t take me seriously? It’s not based on fact but I just panicked and deleted a lot of them. It’s so funny ‘cos now they’re everywhere [on YouTube and social media].” She has no idea how people found the videos and reuploaded them but she’s “happy” that happened. “Now seeing that people are so lovingly holding onto it, my fear was for nothing. But everyone gets scared. I loved streaming at that time.” While she’s now too busy to start streaming again, she is looking to stay involved with video games.
She’s currently playing God Of War: Ragnarök and has been approached about voicing a character in a video game. “I’m starting my journey with that soon,” she said. “I want to try something smaller to test the water and later, [do something] different because video games are obviously a big interest of mine.” Her dream role would be Resident Evil. “I love that world specifically. I would die inside [if I got cast in one].”
In other news Big Walk, the latest project from Untitled Goose Game creators House House, has become one of the best-reviewed games of 2026.
