Heartstopper actor Bradley Riches has shared that he discovered his home had been robbed after coming home from the premiere of the show’s finale.
The actor, who has also appeared on Celebrity Big Brother, Emmerdale, and the film 1917, took to Instagram yesterday (July 16) to talk about the incident. Sharing a selfie, the caption read: “This week started so perfectly. I got back from the Heartstopper premiere after having the best time… only to come home and find out I’d been robbed.”
He continued: “My car is gone, but what breaks my heart the most is that my coffee truck has been taken too. @bradleysbarandcafe Two things I’ve worked so incredibly hard for, gone just like that. I’m absolutely heartbroken. To the person who took them, I hope you have a really bad day.” In addition to acting, Riches and his husband Scott Johnston run the coffee truck in Eccup, Yorkshire on Saturdays.

Reality TV star David Potts, who won the series of Celebrity Big Brother that Riches appeared on, commented: “Sending you so much love my baby! Absolute scum bags”, while Emmerdale co-star Isabel Hodgins wrote: “I hope they are caught!!!” Also in the comments, Riches himself alluded to the stress of the situation, joking: “the rash on my chest says a lot”.
Riches played James McEwan in seasons one to three of Heartstopper, and appears in Heartstopper Forever, the show’s movie conclusion. NME gave the film three stars, concluding: “If Heartstopper Forever isn’t a flawless farewell, it’s at least a fitting one. Saying goodbye to your teenage mates isn’t meant to be easy, and this film recognises that growing up can mean growing apart. That it does so without denying fans a happy ending feels like one last big-hearted hurrah.”
