Tom Holland's spidey senses are heightened when he's around Zendaya.
In fact, the 30-year-old credits his wife—with whom he costars in Spider-Man: Brand New Day—for turning him into a better actor.
"The truth is that she raises the game," Holland exclusively told E! News' Will Marfuggi at the Los Angeles premiere of their new Marvel movie July 27. "She's the type of actress where every scene is better when she's in it. She raises the stakes for everyone."
He continued, "She's truthful in every decision she makes as an actress. And any time that I get to share the screen with her, I'm very lucky."
Indeed, Holland has shared many scenes with Zendaya, 29, through the years. In addition to their Spider-Man movies—including Homecoming (2017), Far From Home (2019) and No Way Home (2021)—the pair also costarred in the recently-released The Odyssey.
"Tom had the script at home before I got the call," Zendaya explained of how she got involved in the Christopher Nolan film during an interview with E! News earlier this month. “So, I did a little peeky peek.”
While Holland didn't have as much screen time with Zendaya this time around as his Odyssey costar Matt Damon, he still saved a special place in his heart for his IRL love.
“‘Did Athena love Odysseus romantically?’” Holland quipped in a recent Wired interview, referring to Zendaya and Damon's respective characters. “No, because she’s married to me.”
And when he was asked what lessons Zendaya's goddess persona imparts on his Telemachus character in the Greek epic, Holland cheekily replied, "True love."
But for Zendaya, Spider-Man is one of her favorite Holland roles.
“My favorite thing about Tom's Spider-Man is how Tom handles Spider-Man outside of Spider-Man,” she shared in Fandango’s Big Ticket interview in June. “So many people connect to this character—to Peter Parker, to Spider-Man. Especially young people, especially children.”
“He's just handled that weight with such grace,” the Euphoria star added, “and really loves and cares so much about the character and what the character means to other people.”
Spider-Man: Brand New Day is out in theaters July 27.
