Hannah Einbinder is speaking out after she was arrested at a protest at the United Nations in New York City.
The Hacks actress, 31, was among 100 people who were taken into custody while participating in a protest ahead of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu‘s address to the U.N. General Assembly.
Hannah joined celebs like Susan Sarandon, Cynthia Nixon, and Caleb Hearon at the protest, which was organized by Jewish Voice for Peace Action and called for an end to U.S. military support for Israel amid the war in Gaza.

Hannah took to her Instagram Stories on Thursday night, September 24 and posted the below statement.
“If the pictures of my friends and me getting arrested in protest of Netanyahu’s shameful visit to New York draw attention to anything, let it be to the devastating genocidal war Israel is waging against the people of Palestine and Southern Lebanon — to the settler attacks, the home demolitions, the bombing of people as they sleep, to the crimes that happen every SINGLE day but garner almost no international press coverage. The U.S. government has the power to bring an end to all of this killing, pillaging and land theft, yet instead it chooses to welcome the butcher of Gaza with open arms. The fact that the orchestrator of all this bloodshed is roaming freely in our cities is an indictment of BOTH REPUBLICANS AND DEMOCRATS who enable and protect architects of genocide like Netanyahu. Let us not mistake the spectacle for the story: Genocide is the headline, and it is time for it to end.”
Hannah asked her fans to make donations to Pal Humanity, a global initiative by two Palestinian women doctors providing urgent relief and sustainable support to the people of Gaza..
Ahead of the demonstration, Hannah explained why she was participating.
“We will not be silent as our government fully funds a genocide in Palestine,” she told The Guardian. She added that she felt compelled to participate “as a Jew, as an American, and as a human being.”
Hannah has repeatedly spoken publicly in support of Palestinians, including during her acceptance speech at the Emmys.
