Southern Charm is heading back to Charleston!
Bravo released the season 12 trailer on Monday (October 5), offering a first look at the returning friends, a newcomer with an interesting connection to the group, and several relationships plagued by drama.
The new season premieres Thursday, November 12, at 9 p.m. ET/PT on Bravo.
Who is joining the Southern Charm cast?
Allie Newman is the new addition this season, but this won’t be the first time she’s met the cast. Allie is a model, a friend of Venita Aspen, and a “former flame” of Austen Kroll, per TV Insider, giving her several connections to the group already before viewers get to know her.
Returning stars include Craig Conover, Austen Kroll, Shep Rose, Madison LeCroy, Salley Carson, Venita Aspen, Molly O’Connell, Whitner Slagsvol, and Rodrigo Reyes.
Patricia Altschul, Whitney Sudler-Smith, Charley Manley, and Taylor Ann Green will also appear.
Austen’s relationship takes center stage
One of the trailer’s big questions is where Austen stands with the women in his life. As People notes, Allie‘s arrival will complicate things, while Salley‘s interest in Austen leads to tension with Molly.
The trailer suggests that agreeing on what a relationship actually is might cause problems, with multiple points of contention about what is considered a date and exclusivity.
Austen isn’t the only one facing questions about his romantic life. TV Insider also notes that Whitner asks Allie out while sending shirtless pics to Venita.
