There’s another Big Brother casting update…former BB contestant Angela Murray is set to compete this season!
Men’s Journal is reporting that the former season 26 contestant will be back for season 28, which debuts on Thursday (July 9).
BB28’s theme is “Time Trip.” The new season promises that house guests will “enter a world where rooms, relics and competitions transport them across moments in time, while early twists shake up the game from the start.”
“Inspired by decades like the ’80s and Y2K, new powers and challenges can disrupt strategy and alliances,” a press release teases.
Angela, 53, was a huge fan favorite, though a polarizing player in the game. She ended up coming in sixth place that season, and went on to compete on CBS’ The Amazing Race alongside her daughter.
Earlier today, CBS confirmed the 14 new houseguests who will be competing this season, and we also learned that two Survivor players will be joining the lineup as well.
BB28 begins with a special 90-minute premiere on Thursday (July 9) from 8:00 to 9:30 PM ET/PT. It continues with the season premiere of Big Brother: Unlocked on Friday (July 10) from 8:00 to 9:00 PM ET/PT, and wraps up the opening weekend with a 90-minute Sunday episode of the main series on Sunday (July 12) from 8:00 to 9:30 PM ET/PT. The identity of Survivor player #2 will apparently be revealed during the premiere of Unlocked.
