Noah Kahan issued a PSA to fans after there was apparently poop scattered on the floor by seats at his concert Friday night (June 26), as seen in a fan-filmed clip from the venue going viral this weekend.
Maybe someone brought a child who isn’t potty trained to the show at Philadelphia’s Citizens Bank Park. Maybe the mess was the doing of an adult, but was some kind of unavoidable digestive system emergency that had them stealthy fleeing from the scene after it went down. Whatever the case is, Kahan kindly reminded his fans to find the nearest bathroom when it’s time for a bowel movement.
“If you have to poop at a show please dear god just go to the bathroom lmao I’ve pooped my pants as much as the next 29 year old but you guys gotta understand there’s a venue worker out there with a 1000 yard stare after dealing with that,” he wrote on X the day after the show.
“I shit myself onstage in Charlottesville but that’s because I am dedicated to my craft,” Kahan, whose The Great Divide album launched at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 in May, said in a follow-up comment.
To that, someone on X conveniently going by the name Turd Furguson said, “‘As much as the next 29 year old,’ should equate to f—ing ZERO, what the hell are you talking about??”
“Okay Turd Ferguson,” Kahan replied, keeping up with the lighthearted tone of his original message.
This all comes just after fellow singer-songwriter Olivia Rodrigo recently shared she’s experienced getting a whiff of fans in the front row wearing diapers when she’s on stage. What a week to be alive and reporting on live music.
See Kahan’s reaction the Philadelphia poop incident below. He’ll next play in Toronto, Canada, Sunday night (June 28), where concertgoers will hopefully heed his advice when it comes to bathroom breaks. The Great Divide Tour continues through December.
