Look! Up in the sky! It’s Superman leading the nominees for the 2026 Critics Choice Super Awards!
The Critics Choice Association handed a half-dozen noms to the Warner Bros/DC flick, including Best Superhero Movie and three Best Actor mentions for its stars David Corenswet, Edi Gathegi and Nicholas Hoult. Prime Video’s now-wrapped The Boys topped the TV field with five nominations including Best Superhero Series and Best Actor for Antony Starr.
Eight titles were next with four nominations each: Masters of the Universe, Obsession, Project Hail Mary, The Fantastic Four: First Steps and Weapons on the movie front and Fallout, House of the Dragon and Paradise from the small screen. See the full list below.
The CCA’s Super Awards honor the most popular, fan-obsessed genres across movies and TV, including superhero, sci-fi/fantasy, horror and action. There’s no awards ceremony, but winners will be announced Thursday, August 6.
