Blake Lively is honoring Hayden Panettiere and Michelle Trachtenberg with a message about kindness.
The actress shared a compilation of scenes featuring Hayden and Michelle in the 2005 Disney movie Ice Princess on her Instagram Stories on Monday night (August 17).
“Be. Kind. You never know what others are going through,” Blake wrote over the footage.
“Thank you to both these women for all the joy you brought so many,” she added.
Michelle and Hayden co-starred in the 2005 film. Michelle played the gifted student Casey Carlyle unexpectedly discovers a passion for figure skating. Hayden played Gen Harwood, an accomplished who starts as Casey’s rival before they later develop a friendship. The movie also starred Kim Cattrall, Joan Cusack, and Trevor Blumas.
Michelle later worked with Blake on Gossip Girl, where she played Georgia Sparks opposite of Blake‘s Serena van der Woodsen.

After Michelle died in February 2025, Blake remembered her former co-star as a “kind person, through and through” and praised the energy she brought into every room.
Hayden died on Sunday, August 16 at the age of 36. Her family confirmed the news in a statement, remembering her as an “incredible light” who brought joy to those who knew her and watched her work.
The Greenville County Coroner’s Office has said that Hayden‘s official cause of death and manner of death remain pending. Michelle was 39 when she died from complications of diabetes mellitus, with her death ruled natural.
