Paramount has appointed Allie McLarty to the newly created role of senior VP of global communications.
She will report to Brooke Robertson, the studioâs executive VP of global communications.
McLarty previously served as Paramount Globalâs senior VP of corporate and financial communications, where she was responsible for media relations and comms strategy for corporate, policy and legal matters. In that role, she worked with executives across film, television, streaming and other key areas of the Paramount ecosystem.
âThis is an exciting transition for Allie as this structure gives Brooke additional seniorâlevel support across Paramount Pictures, Paramount Television Studios and the nascent Paramount Sports Entertainment, in addition to preserving continuity across important corporate areas as we strengthen and prioritize our content storytelling,â Paramountâs chief communications officer Melissa Zukerman said in a note to staff. âAt the same time, Allie will continue to fulfill her Paramount Corporate responsibilities, such as Government Affairs and litigation support.â
Zukerman added, âI met Allie when PSKY Comms integration began over 18 months ago. I was immediately impressed, and she later became a core member of my team who I rely on every day. Allie embodies the discipline, humanity, and resilience this company needs. I am thrilled she is taking on this new role and will remain a vibrant part of my extended organization. Please join me in congratulating Allie on her new endeavor.â
McLarty was at Edelman prior to Paramount; at the PR agency, she advised Fortune 500 companies as executive VP of special situations and co-head of U.S. operations. She began her career on the campaign trail, serving as official staff for Sen. Mark Kirk (R-IL) in Washington, DC.Â
