Mariska Hargitay poked some fun at Nicole Kidman‘s iconic AMC Theatres commercial during her opening monologue at the 2026 Emmy Awards held Monday night (September 14) at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles.
The Law & Order: SVU star is hosting the evening and she reworked the movie-focused advertisement to celebrate television. Nicole then unexpectedly interrupts the spoof.

Nicole spoke up during Mariska‘s bit to jokingly chide her for stealing her lines, since she’s the one who delivers the viral commercial.
Mariska tells Nicole she’s doing her own thing, but when the Oscar-winning actress chimes in again, the host playfully responded: “Zip it, movie lady—it’s TV’s turn tonight.” Watch it here!
The audience had a good laugh at that joke and Nicole looked to be in good spirits during the charming little exchange.
