EXCLUSIVE: The Behavioral Analysis Unit will have run-ins with two familiar faces in an upcoming episode of Criminal Minds: Evolution.
Wayne Brady and Selma Blair are both set to guest star in the eighth episode of Season 20, Deadline can exclusively reveal. Details about their characters are being kept under wraps right now. The season is currently in production.
Here’s the episode description: “The BAU investigates a series of murders in Los Angeles targeting people tied to the skincare industry. The UnSub has an especially specific M.O. involving a chemically altered spa treatment that dissolves his victims’ skin. While the team drills down, Tyler Green stays behind with his nephew, whose troubles with his nemesis escalate.”
This will mark a TV reunion of sorts for Brady and Blair, who both competed on Season 31 of Dancing with the Stars.
Criminal Minds: Evolution got an early renewal in March, ahead of Season 19’s May premiere date. That season also included some buzzy guest stars, including Heated Rivalry‘s Connor Storrie.
Starring Joe Mantegna, A.J. Cook, Kirsten Vangsness, Aisha Tyler, Zach Gilford, and RJ Hatanaka with Adam Rodriguez and Paget Brewster, Criminal Minds: Evolution follows the FBI’s Behavioral Analysis Unit, a team of profilers tasked with analyzing and capturing the country’s most dangerous criminals, before they strike again.
Criminal Minds: Evolution is produced by 20th Television and CBS Studios. Erica Messer (Criminal Minds, Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders) serves as showrunner and executive producer, with Breen Frazier, Chris Barbour, Glenn Kershaw, and Mark Gordon also executive producing.
