Adam Brody isn't ready to for his kids to go right back where he started from.

In fact, the O.C. alum is letting his and wife Leighton Meester's 10-year-old daughter Arlo and a 5-year-old son, whose name has not been publicly revealed, decide for themselves if they want to watch the early aughts shows that launched their parents' acting careers.

"No O.C., no Gossip Girl yet," Brody exclusively told Justin Sylvester during Live From E!: 2026 Emmys on Sept. 14. "I'm gonna let them find their own way. And if they find their way to it, they can have it." (Click here to see all the celebs on the red carpet.)

And that's because the 46-year-old and Meester, 40, haven't revisited the teen dramas in a while.

"We don't watch it," Brody told InStyle in 2024. "But we certainly talk about it. Not the characters—I mean, occasionally—but more about the experiences. We do have a lot in common. In some ways, almost nobody could understand it more than her and vice versa. And a lot of people involved were the same people, so there's just a lot of overlap."

As for what the couple—who married in 2014—have been binging on TV these days?

"It's a little work-related, but I've been I've been binging the World War II With Tom Hanks documentary," Brody revealed during his Live From E! interview at the 2026 Emmys. "I'm really enjoying it. They did a good job."

While Brody didn't specify how the History Channel docuseries, which is narrated by Oscar winner Tom Hanks, played into work, the actor did share some insight into his hit comedy Nobody Wants This, in which he plays "hot rabbi" Noah Roklov opposite of Kristen Bell.

"I'm sure there's hotter," Brody quipped of his character. "I'm sure there's hotter."

He added, "It's nice to be complimented. I take the compliment."
