Number_i’s “BUGS LIFE” bows at No. 1 on the Billboard Japan Hot 100, on the chart dated July 22.

The digital single dropped July 13 and launches at No. 1 for downloads and radio airplay, while hitting No. 2 for video views and No. 11 for streaming. The track gives the trio its sixth chart-topper and eighth week at No. 1 on the Japan Hot 100.

All seven songs from No. 1 through No. 7 are debuts this week. Mrs. GREEN APPLE’s “Brand New” enters at No. 2. Written exclusively as the Japanese theme song for the film Spider-Man: Brand New Day, the track rules streaming and hits No. 4 for downloads, No. 2 for radio, and No. 11 for video. The three-man band also places a total of 10 songs in the top 100 this week, including “lulu.” at No. 18, “Lilac” at No. 25, “Ao to Natsu” at No. 28, and “Darling” at No. 50.

NCT WISH’s “YO-I-DON!” follows at No. 3, and FRUITS ZIPPER’s “Power of Love” at No. 4.

Kenshi Yonezu’s “Yodaka” debuts at No. 5. The theme song for the film Kingdom 5: The Clash of Souls posts a well-balanced showing across metrics, landing at No. 3 on downloads and streaming and No. 6 on radio and video. Yonezu also places “Karasu” at No. 12 and “IRIS OUT” at No. 16. 

SUPER★DRAGON’s “Call Me Asap” enters at No. 6 with 138,472 copies sold, and TAGRIGHT’s “ZERO” follows at No. 7.

T.M.Revolution’s “HOT LIMIT” climbs from No. 17 to No. 8, with video up 144%, downloads up 231%, and radio up 244% week-over-week. The track also makes its karaoke chart debut and returns to the streaming top 100 for the first time in approximately 10 years since 2016. SixTONES’ “My Only” rounds out the top 10 at No. 10, coming in at No. 2 for downloads, No. 13 for streaming, and No. 18 for video.

Southern All Stars’ “Ellie My Love” — currently generating buzz as a featured song in the Netflix drama Human Vapor — rises from No. 60 to No. 27. With summer now in full swing, seasonal favorites are also making their presence felt on the chart: YUI’s “SUMMER SONG” at No. 46, Southern All Stars’ “Manatsu no Kajitsu” at No. 77, Yuzu’s “Natsuiro” at No. 84, and Keisuke Kuwata’s “Johnny the Surfer” among the week’s notable entries. The official song of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, Shakira & Burna Boy’s “Dai Dai,” also climbs from No. 91 to No. 64.
