EXCLUSIVE: English rapper and musician Jordan Stephens has been tapped to join Miquita Oliver as the permanent co-host of hit podcast Miss Me? He’ll replace Lily Allen, who stepped back from the show last year to focus on her album ‘West End Girl’ and its subsequent world tour. Allen continues to make guest appearances on the podcast.

The show’s creator, Persephonica, also announced that it’s taking the podcast out of the BBC from June 18, meaning the show will operate as an independent Persephonica podcast and will be available for commercial sponsorships and advertising. The move comes after an updated BBC Audio Release Policy launched last year, which allows independent producers to commercialize titles that are no longer license fee-funded BBC content.

Miss Me? was launched as a BBC podcast made for BBC Sounds in 2024 and has become one of the UK’s most successful series, building a loyal audience through its honest conversations of culture, friendship and humor. It won the Best Entertainment Podcast award at the 2024 British Podcast Awards as well as the Video Innovation Award at the 2025 British Podcast Awards.

Persephonica is one of the UK’s leading podcast companies, producing shows such as Dig It with Jo Whiley and Zoe Ball, Bad Chat with Greg James and Alice Levine, and Dua Lipa’s Book Club podcast.

“We’re incredibly grateful to the BBC for its ambitious launch of Miss Me? and for the support it has shown us and the podcast over the past two years,” said Persephonica founder and CEO Dino Sofos. “Together, we’ve built something really special. The show has won awards, reached new audiences, and most importantly, created a passionate community of listeners across the UK and beyond.

“We’re also delighted that Jordan will be joining Miquita as permanent co-host. Audiences have loved hearing them together and we’re excited to see the show continue to evolve. We’re looking forward to the next stage of the Miss Me? journey.”
