Prince George has officially been dubbed a teenager.
And the future king’s new portrait—released by the royal family on his 13th birthday July 22—proves he is looking more like his dad Prince William with each passing day.
In the picture, George softly smiles on steps in front of a window, donning a simple black suit and a white button up dress shirt with no tie and his hands in his pockets. Meanwhile, his strawberry blond hair is styled in a way totally reminiscient of his father's signature look in the 1990s.
Of course, George’s new title of teenager isn’t the only way he has reminded the world that he isn’t just a little kid anymore. Last month, he made an appearance at the Royal Air Force Coningsby alongside Kate Middleton and the youngster stood at nearly the same height as his 5-foot-9-inch mom.
Plus, in September, George—older brother to Princess Charlotte, 11, and Prince Louis, 8—is expected to start Eton College, the same boarding school that his dad and uncle Prince Harry attended.
And ahead of that, George may reach another seminal milestone in a teenager’s life: getting his first cell phone.
"When George moves on to secondary school, then maybe he will have a phone then that has no internet access," Prince William said during a November interview. "It’s the internet access that I have a problem with. I think children can access too much stuff they don’t need to see online.”
However, the heir apparent added, “Having a phone and text message, the old sort of brick phone as they call them, I think that’s fine.”

While George is celebrating his new phase of life, his sister Charlotte proved she is on her brother’s royal heels when she looked just like her parents in her 11th birthday portrait in May. In the photo, she was all smiles as she posed in a field of flowers and looked just as grown up as her brother.
