EXCLUSIVE: Emmy-nominated indie studio Media Res (The Morning Show, Pachinko) has promoted Kristen Kuroski to EVP, Head of Business Affairs and Legal.

Since joining the studio in 2025, Kuroski has overseen business and legal affairs across the studio’s slate including the fifth season of Apple TV’s The Morning Show, Peacock’s The Miniature Wife, HBO’s The Chain, Netflix’s Enigma Variations, Hulu’s Durango and Apple TV’s The Dealer. Kuroski will continue to report to Sandra Dewey, Chief Operating Officer.

Prior to joining Media Res, Kuroski was elevated to SVP of TV Business & Legal Affairs at MRC Television, where she worked on projects including Ozark, The Great, The Terminal List, Poker Face, and The Terminal List: Dark Wolf, as well as earlier positions at Fremantle and Sony Pictures Television Networks.

“As Media Res sits poised to advance our most exciting slate yet of original series, we are fortunate to have our business and legal affairs overseen by a person with Kristen’s experience, skill, and temperament,” said Dewey. “The pace at Media Res is swift and demanding, and Kristen deftly manages all that is required with a rare combination of strategy and grace. She has been a wonderfully successful addition to our senior team.”

Kuroski’s promotion follows on the heels of other Media Res news, including HBO’s series order of Damon Lindelof’s The Chain starring Jodie Comer, Netflix’s series order of Enigma Variations from AK Shuman starring Aaron Taylor Johnson, Hulu’s pilot order of Durango starring Cooper Hoffman and Kathryn Newton, the announcement of Media Res’ first look deal with Ari Aster and Lars Knudsen’s Square Peg (Eddington, Bugonia) and multiple high profile casting announcements for the fifth season of The Morning Show including Jeff Daniels, Renee Rapp, Jesse Williams and Sean Hayes.
