Lena Dunham is All Business in First Look at Channel 4’s A24 Drama ‘It Gets Worse’

Lena Dunham is all business in first look images from upcoming Channel 4/A24 drama “It Gets Worse.”

Dunham guest stars as Greta in the series, which was written, created by and stars Leo Reich. In the first look at the actor in character she is pictured sitting at a wooden desk with a CEO nameplate in what appears to be an airy office.

Reich plays Ethan in the show opposite Emily Fairn as Abi and Olive Gray as Sam, a trio who have been best friends since college.

“It’s been a year since they finally managed to move to London, they have collectively accomplished nothing, and now their landlord is selling up,” reads the synopsis. “They’re getting kicked out. What now? Can they keep their friendships alive when they are dispersed across a city that seems to want them dead? Can they find a six out of ten or higher to have bad sex with? Can they get their shit together when the world is so obviously falling apart? Probably not. But they’re going to have fun trying.”

The show also features Amelia Dimoldenberg as Emily, Blake Harrison as Roger, Vicki Pepperdine as Sarah and Clayton Pettet as Freddy.

Novelist Zadie Smith narrates the series, which is set to premiere at the BFI London Film Festival next month.

Channel 4’s head of comedy Charlie Perkins commissioned “It Gets Worse” while AA24 produce.Sam Pinnell (“Trying,” “Motherland”) is the producer and Mounia Akl (“House of Guinness,” “The Responder” directs. “Adolescence” Emmy winner Matthew Lewis is director of photography.
