In collaboration with Gallagher Alternative Health Solutions, BMI announces BMI Health Connect to provide US affiliates with personalized guidance.

BMI has announced the launch of BMI Health Connect, a free service available exclusively for its U.S.-based songwriters and composers that makes it easier to find the right healthcare coverage for them and their immediate families.

In collaboration with Gallagher Alternative Health Solutions, a global leader in insurance brokerage, the program connects BMI’s music creators with expert insurance advisors who provide personalized, one-on-one guidance to help them understand their options and choose the best healthcare coverage that fits their individual needs, circumstances, and budget.

Through BMI Health Connect, BMI’s U.S.-based music creators will be able to:

  • Understand and compare nationally recognized health coverage options, including Affordable Care Act (ACA) exchange plans, private off-exchange plans, and Medicare, as well as dental, vision, and other types of insurance offerings.
  • Identify plans that align with both individual and immediate family needs built around their specific circumstances, including those eligible for cost-sharing subsidies.
  • Get answers to questions from independent and unbiased healthcare insurance experts who have access to hundreds of insurance plans, including those not available on state exchanges, and whose goal is to help find the best insurance options available.
  • Receive one-on-one support throughout the entire enrollment process.

BMI affiliates and their immediate family members can connect with Gallagher’s licensed professionals by phone to review their individual needs and answer basic questions, including household size, budget, existing coverage, and life stage. All personal information is handled by Gallagher Alternative Health Solutions and in accordance with HIPAA and applicable privacy laws.

From there, Gallagher—working from their portfolio of hundreds of available on- and off-exchange plans—will provide BMI’s music creators with the options available to them, guide them through the entire process, and help them enroll in their plan of choice.

BMI Health Connect is available now, and BMI affiliates are encouraged to contact an advisor before open enrollment begins so there is ample time to ask questions, go over available options, and have confidence in their decisions. Medicare Open Enrollment runs from October 15 to December 7, while ACA Open Enrollment is from November 1 to December 15.

BMI affiliates in need of immediate coverage can enroll in short-term medical plans right now or enroll in other plans with a “Qualifying Life Event.”
