A statement has been posted, asking fans to give space to the production. Specifically, the Heated Rivalry crew is requesting that if you come across filming locations, to refrain from crowding the cast.

They are also promising that season two is worth the wait!

Here’s the statement about season 2 of Heated Rivalry:

“To our incredible fans and everyone who’s been sharing in the excitement for the show: Your support, enthusiasm, and kindness have meant the world to us. As we gear up for more ‘Heated Rivalry,’ please help us in making it the best it can be. If you happen to come across one of our filming locations, please give our cast and crew the space they need to do what they do best. We promise it’ll be worth the wait! Your ‘Heated Rivalry’ Family,” the post on Instagram read.

When will Heated Rivalry season 2 be released?

We previously learned that season two of Heated Rivalry would begin production in August 2026 for an April 2027 launch. It was revealed that season two will focus on the sixth book in the series, “The Long Game,” which also focuses on Ilya and Shane’s story.

The hit gay hockey series – based on the book of the same name by Rachel Reid – premiered on Crave and HBO Max in November 2025. Weeks after the show premiered, stars Connor Storrie and Hudson Williams officially announced that Heated Rivalry had been renewed for a second season and that they would be returning as Ilya Rosanov and Shane Hollander, respectively.

See who will likely be back for season two, and who won’t be.
