KJ Dillard is getting candid about a low point in his personal life.

After falling in love with costar Dara Levitan while filming Summer House's season 10 last year, the model revealed how they are handling dating in the public eye.

"A lot of people are supportive, and I’m thankful for them," KJ shared during the June 2 episode of Carl Radke's More Life With Carl Radke podcast. "But then, a lot of people are hating."

But as the Bravolebrities approach their first dating anniversary, KJ couldn't deny that public scrutiny sometimes puts extra pressure on the relationship.

"We do a good job at not letting it tear us apart," the 28-year-old admitted. "It affects us individually, of course, but the relationship, we both know what we want and what we’ve gone through together. It was gnarly. It’s, honestly, some love story s--t that we’re not gonna let outside influence affect that."

But as KJ shared during the Bravo series' May 26 reunion episode, his mental health took a turn after filming and he was diagnosed with borderline personality disorder (BPD) while being treated in the hospital.

"Pre-show, nothing was really going on for me," the former pro skateboarder recounted. "Modeling was slow. I’d taken a break during the summer to focus on the show. Financially, I was in a terrible place. Me and Dara were struggling because I was taking out what I was going through out on her. I wasn’t even aware of it."

Plus, KJ noted, "I was only on one medication for my anxiety and depression, but I didn’t realize that I had another diagnosis."

Eventually, he hit "rock bottom" and Dara, 33, briefly called off their romance "because she had to," especially after costar Mia Calabrese convinced Dara to give KJ space so that he could focus on his own healing journey.

"Dara, I think, was gonna hang on, but that wouldn’t have been good for either of us," KJ reflected. "I needed the time, because after the hospital, I went to recovery…and that’s when we broke up."

But now that the costars are back together, KJ knows they made the right decision in temporarily taking time apart.

"Looking back, if me and Dara were dating when I was in recovery, it would have been a mess," he confessed. "I would have been focused on saving the relationship rather than focusing on my health. Recovery changed my life."

As for where more Summer House couples stand? Keep reading to see which pairs are broken up and still together.

After the longtime friends sparked romance rumors in 2026, they ultimately confirmed their feelings had "evolved." The confirmation proved especially messy, given Amanda's best friend Ciara Miller dated west for several months before a messy 2023 breakup.

"What’s developed recently was the last thing either of us expected," the pair wrote in a joint statement in March 2026. "Our connection grew out of a genuine, long-standing friendship, which made it especially important for us to approach this with care."

Sure, the show probably had to move houses this season after comedian couple Hannah and Des decided it would be funny to have sex in Kyle and Amanda's bathroom, but at least they're the ones who are still together.

After two years of dating, the pair tied the knot in 2022 in a beachside wedding and trust—the comedians have a ton of fun together.

"He lets me be me, and we laugh together," Hannah mused to People shortly after the pair's 2021 engagement. "I make him laugh, and he makes me laugh."

As she put it, "I really just fell in love with how his mind works. And I really listen to his advice, and I really just respect him."

While this couple's long, winding romance was one that every Summer House fan couldn't help but root for, it ultimately came to an end in January 2026 when the pair announced their separation after four years of marriage and nearly 10 years together.

“I don't think anything can kind of prepare you for a big public breakup,” Kyle admitted during a Bravo conversation at the 92NY that month, per People. "But I think that more important than anything is just making sure that Amanda is good, and it's just been amazing having her support, because it is not easy.”

While they haven't filed for divorce just yet, Amanda went on to confirm a budding romance with West in March 2026.

It might have been on-again-off-again since their start in 2022, but West and Ciara might finally be done for good after their latest breakup. After all, West confirmed a relationship with Ciara's BFF Amanda in March 2026.

But while West and Ciara confirmed their separation ahead of Summer House season 10 premiering in February 2026, Ciara had teased they may have picked things up again, admitting in episode seven that there was some "attraction" between them.

While this Southern Charm-Summer House pair appeared to be going the distance after getting together in 2021, they ultimately called it quits in 2024.

"I have so much love and respect for Craig," Paige said during an episode of Giggly Squad in 2024. "I think he is one of the best people I have ever met in my entire life. I will remain the biggest fan of him and want the best for him and he truly will get the best because he is the best."

As she put of the split, "It was just the right decision for both of us moving forward in our lives and the direction in our lives that we didn’t force."

Simultaneously the best and worst example of modern dating. While their will-they-or-won't-they was one of season four's most compelling storylines, their whatevership nearly destroyed the house the following summer. It's still shocking to remember these two were almost couple goals back in 2020.

Thankfully for everyone, Des slid into Hannah's DMs in 2020, and Luke went on to have a brief romance with Ciara and then Tayshia Adams—though the pair split in 2025.

While the season 10 newbies both started out summer 2025 single and ready to mingle, they quickly found themselves in a committed relationship that is going strong to this day.

Carl Radke has a history of bad decisions and many of those went down during his time hooking up with the single Wirkus sister, who clearly wanted more from him than he was willing to give. Hell hath no fury like a twin betrayed who has a protective doppelganger.

But while the duo went their separate ways for good in 2018, Carl took full accountability for their fallout.

"I chalk that up to a lot of just immaturity on my end," Carl told The Daily Dish in 2019. "Also, I think, just my communication skills with her, I struggled really to be honest with how I felt."

As an OG Summer House pair—literally entering the house in 2017 as a couple—Lindsay and Everett certainly get points for somehow managing to maintain a friendship after their tumultuous relationship.

Everett tied the knot with Courtney Cavanagh in 2023 and proving the friendly exes theory, Lindsay was present at their Ireland wedding.

While painful to watch back in 2021, Ciara and Luke managed to build a—somewhat strained—friendship after their brief dalliance, which brought Ciara into the Summer House mix.

Ciara had an on-again-off-again romance with West until 2026, when they appeared to break up for good.

This pairing mostly happened off-screen in 2020, as Paige's boyfriend of one year all but refused to be on-camera. The Giggly Squad host went on to begin dating Craig Conover a year later, before they ultimately split in 2024.

Perry, meanwhile, appeared to have gotten engaged in 2023, according to his Instagram.

After a flirtation in the earliest episodes of Summer House, the pair ultimately stayed friends until confessing feelings at Kyle and Amanda's 2021 wedding, kicking off a whirlwind romance.

By 2022, the former couple moved in together and Carl proposed to Lindsay later that same year. And although a wedding date was set for 2023, the couple never made it to the altar, with Carl calling off the wedding.

"I was completely blindsided," Lindsay told US Weekly at the time. "He blew up my entire life. I was crying, I was angry, and I had to find closure on my own. Now I’m at a place where I feel really good about moving on."

Months after their breakup, Lindsay announced she was pregnant, welcoming Gemma with then-boyfriend Tanner Kufe, in 2024.

While this couple was every Summer House fan's unproblematic faves, they ultimately went their separate ways in 2023. Initially, Danielle said they ended things "amicably" but things changed when she saw how quickly Robert moved on.

"He's with someone he works with, and someone I had called out during our last breakup conversation and he told me I was crazy," Danielle told The Daily Dish in 2023. "Women's intuition, every time."

Danielle has since gone public with new boyfriend, tech entrepreneur Eoin Heavey.

This couple's 2018 romance was so brief, it's almost unbelievable they ever dated. Despite any drama that occurred at the time, they had a clean break—with Carl even grieving Paige's 2025 Summer House departure.

"I love Paige," Carl told E! News at the time. "We're sad to see her not be a part of it, but understanding that she had a lot going on this summer."

This was never going to last, as Lindsay was always going to eat Stravy alive long before he was finally able to make her that sandwich. Though their romance flamed out in 2021 after about two years together, Summer House fans will always have his season five PowerPoint presentation.Â
