Guitar rhythm game Stage Tour, built by veterans of the original Guitar Hero era, features 90-plus licensed songs and real guitar maker partnerships.

Veteran developers of the original era of music-oriented rhythm video games, which included Guitar Hero and Rock Band, have been working diligently on Stage Tour. The game promises to honor everything fans loved about the golden age of music games while delivering something fresh. Stage Tour, which launches on December 10, will be available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Switch 2, and PC.

The game features a massive setlist spanning six decades of 90-plus licensed songs and an authentic Gibson guitar collection. Stage Tour includes hits from The Rolling Stones, Metallica, Radiohead, The Cure, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Mötley CrĂŒe, Paramore, Olivia Rodrigo, Fall Out Boy, Ghost, Genesis, Black Eyed Peas, Slipknot, Weezer, Tenacious D, ZZ Top, and many more.

Developer RedOctane recently unveiled 20 additional songs that will be included, alongside 25 previously announced songs. But that’s only half of the launch total; more will be revealed in Stage Tour’s Setlist Reveal Series on social media in the weeks leading up to launch.

Through a multi-year partnership with Gibson, Stage Tour also features over 180 authentic guitars, including those from Gibson, Epiphone, and Kramer, which will be available in the game at launch. The game boasts the largest collection of real-world guitars ever featured in a music game.

Fans can unlock legendary instruments as they play, building out their ultimate collection and taking real rock heritage on stage with them as they play. Joining them is a roster of over 50 bandmates, each with their own playstyle and skins, giving players more than 150 unlockable combinations at launch.

Stage Tour supports guitar controllers, drum controllers, and microphones while also offering full support for standard gamepads as well as keyboard and mouse. Custom note charts have been built specifically for each input rather than adapting the traditional guitar experience across controller types.

Designed to be inclusive, Stage Tour supports cross-platform online co-op play as well as online leaderboards. The game also allows up to four players to rock out together locally, with all four players able to enjoy any combination of guitar, drums, microphone, or gamepad, ensuring there’s a way for everyone to play.

Stage Tour will be priced at $39.99, and fans can wishlist the game now across supported digital storefronts, including Steam and Epic Games on PC. Digital preorders will open closer to launch, and fans can secure the Stage Tour Kramer Guitar & Game Bundle. This includes the official Kramer Guitar Controller alongside the full game, starting at $129.99. Gamers who preorder the Kramer kit will also receive an exclusive Stage Tour Comic Book made in collaboration with Dark Horse Comics as a preorder bonus.

More hardware will be available to purchase individually, including the Stage Tour Drum Kit, Wireless Microphone, and Wired USB Microphone. More officially licensed Gibson guitar controllers will be available, including the 8K Gibson Explorer 20th Anniversary Edition and the Gibson Les Paul Oxblood Edition.
