While the wig company owner was showing off chic new styles from her brand on a QVC broadcast Aug. 5, she had a hilarious reaction to an honest malapropism while describing the texture in a pixie cut hairpiece.
“You’ll love to show the texture and this wave pattern,” Brattin mused as she ran her fingers through the wig. “Again, it looks like you went and got a blow job at your—a blowout at your salon.”
Realizing her NSFW mistake, the entrepreneur struggled to maintain composure with her back to the camera, quietly adding, “Oh my god.”
“And it looks,” Brattin continued bursting out laughing, “beautiful.”
Attempting to keep the broadcast on track, QVC host Terri Conn bit back a smile as she added, “We’re having a huge beauty sale—everything ships to you for free but that goes away at the end of the day.”
While the actress continued her sales pitch, Brattin could be seen lunging below the camera, attempting to conceal herself from view out of embarrassment. Ultimately, the entire set was overcome, with Conn eventually bursting out laughing as the camera cut to a model sporting one of Brattin’s wigs—who also appears to be struggling to maintain her composure.
Later, Conn shared a screen recording of the entire moment.
“The show must go on,” she joked in an Aug. 5 Instagram post. “Love you, Toni Brattin!”
And while Brattin appeared mortified in the moment, she proved she could laugh at herself, reposting a clip of the viral moment being played on The Tonight Show. After revealing the clip, host Jimmy Fallon joked, “By the way, the wigs have totally sold out.”
He continued, “A note to all the married men out there, the wig is only available on your birthday.”
Brattin added a shrugging emoji in a caption of the clip, adding, “Gotta love live TV!”
Of course, her fans assured her the moment was nothing to be ashamed of.
“Listen, we are laughing WITH you,” one fan wrote in a comment. “This was gold!”
Another added, “Your laughter and reaction is the best part!"
