Florence Pugh is back on the red carpet at the latest premiere of her new show!
The 30-year-old actress attended the premiere of her Netflix limited series East of Eden on Tuesday (September 30) held at The Plaza Hotel in New York City.
Fellow cast members in attendance included Christopher Abbott, Mike Faist, Joseph Zada, Tracy Letts, and Hoon Lee along with Zoe Kazan serving as co-showrunner, writer and executive producer.
What Is East of Eden About?
The series is a new adaptation of John Steinbeck‘s East of Eden and spans multiple generations of the Trask family.
The story places particular focus on Cathy Ames, played by Florence, whose life becomes intertwined with brothers Adam Trask and Charles Trask, played by Christopher and Mike, respectively.
Netflix describes the series as a modern interpretation of the novel that explores the multigenerational Trask family saga while bringing new attention to Cathy, one of the story’s most memorable characters.
The series takes place across decades, from the American Civil War through World War I, and explores themes of family, good and evil, and the choices passed from one generation to the next.
When does the series premiere?
All seven episodes of East of Eden will be available for streaming on Netflix beginning on Thursday, October 1.
